Yes! I offer a no charge, 15 minute phone meet and greet to answer any questions and discuss a mutual fit for services 

 I am considered private pay and Out of Network with insurance providers.  This allows you as the parent to decide goals and how long you would like your child to attend services.  Clients pay me after each sessions but I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance if you would like to pursue reimbursement (please contact your insurance company to learn more about your Out of Network coverage)

During our first session we will begin with a set of intake questions that will help me get to know you/your family and your hopes for our time together.  I also want to answer any questions you may have. Sessions  include giver(s) and myself.  It is essential for me to have a full understanding of a child’s family, social, cultural, and educational experiences as well as health history in order to effectively work together so I will ask for your partnership in this process.

All sessions other than the initial intake are 50 minutes.  Care is made to end each session with enough time to help your child transition back into their day. Therapy can be hard work, so I am intentional about not continuing to work on something sensitive or difficult that can’t be brought to closure before the session time ends.    

Together we will determine how often I will meet with your child individually and how often we will meet for parent sessions.  Family participation is essential for successful outcomes.  However, family participation can take many forms such as:  family therapy sessions, tracking behavior(s),  trying different strategies to support your child's therapy work, completing a special task together, and separate caregiver support.

We will decide together if weekly, every other week or monthly sessions will best meet your child and family's needs.

What is discussed in therapy is confidential between the child/family and therapist and protected by Washington state law.  The 3 exceptions to confidentiality include: if someone intends to harm themselves, threatens to harm someone else, or if your child (or another child under the age of 18) is being hurt.  

I work in partnership with caregivers and your input is essential. In order to provide a meaningful therapeutic relationship I don't share every detail because it's important that your child has a space that feels safe to express themselves.  As we meet for parent sessions we will discuss themes I'm noticing,  how they are showing up in our work, observations, and how they are progressing over time.  I am intentional about  supporting children in the communicating their feelings with caregivers.

If you feel this would be helpful, I believe strongly in the power of teaming with school staff to best support the needs of children.  Educators can provide invaluable insight and sharing common language and skills learned in sessions is often very helpful.  If you choose and it’s therapeutically appropriate you can sign a Release of Information if you want me to talk to your child’s school, doctor, youth group leader etc. 

I  meet with with all children in person in my office.  I understand coordinating work schedules, childcare needs and health can be tricky sometimes, so telehealth is always available for parent sessions.

Individual and family/parent sessions (50 min) are $195, initial intake session (60 min) is $250.   

I have a 24 hour cancellation grace period without being charged.  All no shows are charged the full session fee out of respect for your, my and other client's time.  

I need the short time frame between each session to reset the therapy space and prepare, so I'm unable to start sessions early.  I will always meet you in the office waiting room and welcome you in at our session time.
